Newcastle United have had a rocky start to their 2025\/26 campaign as they battled with several issues off the field before ultimately sorting things out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Magpies also secured a players like Nick Woltemade and Yoanne Wissa on deadline day to replace Alexander Isak, who moved out to Liverpool.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Woltemade has done really well for Newcastle considering he is a young German striker in a new club and a new league. He has scored some crucial goals and has adapted to Eddie Howe’s system.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, Wissa is yet to feature for Newcastle since his\u00a0\u00a355m switch from Brentford due to a knee injury during his international duty with DR Congo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to reports via Sky Sports<\/a>, Wissa is expected to remain on the sidelines for longer than it was initially expected. He was expected to stay out for 4-5 weeks but now that has increased to full eight weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Newcastle United fullback Tino Livramento is also expected to remain out on the sidelines for eight week after suffering an ACL tear.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, the only positive update from this week for the Magpies was Jacob Ramsey’s return from ankle injury as per Keith Downie’s report<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new signing, who moved from Aston Villa this summer could be on the bench for Newcastle when they take the field against Nottingham Forest on Sunday in the Premier League<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was earlier set to return after the international break, but he has recovered really well to return before time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What did Newcastle boss Eddie Howe say before facing Nottingham Forest?<\/h2>\n

Newcastle United have only secured a solitary win in their first six Premier League fixtures as they languish in the 15th position on the points table with only six points.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Therefore, they are desperately looking for a win when they will host Nottingham Forest at St. James Park on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Magpies are heading into the game following a 4-0 win over Union Gilloise in the mid-week Champions League<\/a> fixture.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Forest are winless in their six games under new manager Ange Postecoglou, but Howe is not ready to take them for granted.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“They have a very strong group of players and I think they\u2019ve had a slight change [under Postecoglou] \u2013 they are definitely more possession-based and quite free in their movements,” Howe told reporters<\/a> ahead of the clash on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“You look at the games and I think they could have gone either way. I think they have a good balance to their squad. Ange Postecoglou is an outstanding manager with a really good track record.<\/p>\n

“We know this is a pivotal game for us going into the international break. Our Premier League record is really important to us, it is a big match.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I think we all know the fragility of the job,” Howe replied when asked about the pressure Postecoglou is facing at Forest. “No amount of success previously can take you out of that firing line.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are all subjected to the same forced and dictated to by results. In any moment, good or bad, you have to be yourself and that is what Ange is.”<\/p>\n
