I used paper towels, no abrasives, as I didn’t want to damage the finish. I eventually laid the can down flat and returned to the Goo Gone and let it sit for 30 minutes. I finally was able to get it off with 4 cycles of cleaning and reapplying and finally cleaning off with a degreaser.
