4) The area underneath the belt is essentially a smooth surface glued to the base, I think they used a cheap adhesive as it has already started to peel with just after 3 uses. 5) The belt and walking area is pretty loud, and this machine generates a lot of static, other reviewers have mentioned about getting a shock while touching the bar/handle.
