Spontaneous double mirror symmetry breaking in anisotropic polar fluids is observed in the lamellar liquid crystalline phases of the shown achiral bent-core molecules, where two distinct modes of supramolecular chirality develop simultaneously. One is the helix formation, driven by the escape from an emerging macroscopic polarization due to the alignment of the bend directions.
