Christmas Eve, or as it called ‘Sviatyi Vechir’ in Ukrainian (‘Holy Evening’) is filled with numerous customs and rituals. The customs include: decorating house and dinner table with special attributes (didukh, garlic, hay and others), performing koliadky (‘carols’) and so on.
