Ms. Douez argued that section 4 of the Act grants exclusive jurisdiction to the BC Supreme Court over claims arising from the statute. Facebook’s forum selection clause requires that all disputes between Facebook users and the company must be filed in California courts. Facebook moved for a stay of the action on this basis.
