How do I change the location of the Google Drive folder?

I gotta say: This was a botched roll-out! Not only are users being pushed to upgrade, but then GD makes changes instead of keeping the old settings. My GD all the sudden was now on C drive. Ironically I had to google how to change it to the former location, like this thread here explained, because that is practically impossible to find from a UI perspective.
