Inflation increased to 7.8% in April, following March’s 7.0%. April’s figure represented the highest inflation rate since May 2014. Annual average inflation rose to 5.8% in April (March: 5.5%). FocusEconomics panel projects inflation to average 5.8% in FY 2022, which is up 0.5 percentage points from last month’s forecast, and 4.7% in FY 2023.
