Arizona Cardinals to face reigning NFC Defensive Player of the Week

The NFL announced its conference players of the week on Wednesday. The Arizona Cardinals did not have anyone get honored. However, the Cardinals will face the reigning NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his play in Week 2.

The 49ers beat the New Orleans Saints 26-21 in New Orleans, and they have begun the season 2-0. In the win, Warner had 11 total tackles, a tackle for loss, a pass breakup, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Through two games, has a total of 19 tackles.
