ESPN’s “College GameDay” will be in SEC country this upcoming Saturday. GameDay has chosen to come to Athens and will be in town for the top 10 matchup between the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels.
GameDay will also have a special performances by Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs. This is the second time College GameDay has been in attendance for a Georgia game this season, with the first one being against Tennessee. The result of the previous game was a huge comeback 34-31 road victory for the Bulldogs. It was Gunner Stockton’s coming out party with his performance of 304 passing yards and three total touchdowns.
The 2024 Georgia-Ole Miss game left many people within Georgia football with a bad taste in their mouth after the Dawgs suffered a 28-10 road loss. Ole Miss defense forced three turnovers and five sacks against Georgia’s offense last season. The Georgia win was a season-defining moment for coach Lane Kiffin and the Rebels, but Ole Miss still missed the College Football Playoff last year and is looking to make it this time.
Both teams are coming off nailbiters, but came out on the right side with victories. Ole Miss getting the win over Washington State, 24-21, and Georgia is getting a win against SEC rival Auburn, 20-10. This game will be a fast, physical four-quarter game between both of these teams.
