Miguel Quintana: “Real Madrid Has Become Completely Dysfunctional”

PAMPLONA, SPAIN – FEBRUARY 21: Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid looks dejected as Lucas Torro (L) and Inigo Arguibide of CA Osasuna (R) celebrate following the team’s victory in the LaLiga EA Sports match between CA Osasuna and Real Madrid CF at Estadio El Sadar on February 21, 2026 in Pamplona, Spain. In Spanish radio program La Pizarra, Miguel Quintana analyzed Madrid’s defeat to Osasuna and shifted the focus beyond individual performances.

He began by highlighting Victor Muñoz:
“We all knew him from that play in Montjuic that could have equalized a Clasico, but the real breakthrough of Victor Munoz at the elite level we are seeing this season with Osasuna. His level is growing exponentially as the season progresses… In left, inside or right, but always at full speed. His football is sharp.”

On Madrid’s use of young players:
“Just look at how Gonzalo Garcia came on in the 75th minute in a game that demanded him since halftime and that he probably should have started.”

On Mbappe:
“Mbappe is not well. And he wasn’t fit to play. Not at least the whole match. On Saturday, in many plays, he was Osasuna’s third center-back. In the end, the problem for me was not Mbappe. Nor even the one who played him and didn’t take him off. It’s all structural.

He was clear about hierarchy:
“Avaro Arbeloa is playing this match with the same marked cards that Ancelotti and Xabi Alonso had before. It doesn’t matter what the match demands… what matters are the hierarchies of a club that has become completely dysfunctional. Real Madrid can improve as a team, but it will not fully heal as a club until Florentino Pérez puts the badge above the players again.”

Durham sign West Indies pace bowler Roach

Kemar Roach has played 88 Tests for West Indies taking 294 wickets [Getty Images]

Durham have signed West Indies Test star Kemar Roach as they push for an immediate return to Division One of the County Championship following relegation last season.

The 37-year-old, who is closing in on 300 Test wickets, will join up with the Durham squad ahead of the season-opener against Kent at Banks Homes Riverside and will be available until mid-June.

Roach brings proven pedigree as a pace bowler in English conditions as a three-time County Championship winner with Surrey.

“I can’t wait to join Durham for the 2026 season,” Roach told the club’s website.

“Having played in the County Championship for the past five years, I know how serious a side Durham are, so I plan to join and add great value.

“I hope to help Durham push for a trophy this summer and I think the group Durham have is very close to doing that.

“We know how much of a tough season it is with the county grind, but the rewards are there when you win and I hope to add that winning mentality to the Durham side.”

Roach, 37, who made his Test debut in 2009, has claimed 12 five-wicket hauls for West Indies.

“We’re delighted to welcome Kemar to Durham,” said Durham director of cricket Marcus North.

“He is a world-class performer in Test cricket and his experience playing county cricket makes him a perfect fit for our group.

“Kemar brings proven quality with the ball but also a wealth of knowledge that will benefit our younger bowlers across his time at Durham.”

College basketball poll: Duke is new No. 1 in USA TODAY Sports Top 25 rankings

There’s a change at the top once again in the USA TODAY Sports men’s basketball coaches poll following a busy week of high-profile matchups.

Duke is now the No. 1 team. The Blue Devils received 27 of 31 first-place votes this week after upending previous No. 1 Michigan in one of those marquee clashes. The Blue Devils received 27 of 31 first-place votes. The lofty perch is not new for the Duke program, though this is the first No. 1 ranking of the current season for the Blue Devils.

Arizona claimed the remaining four No. 1 votes and is back up to second overall after a defeat of Houston. Michigan slips to No. 3, and Houston also slides two spots to No. 4. Iowa State moves up a spot to No. 5 as the Cyclones swap positions with Connecticut.

Florida continues to climb the rankings after a rough non-conference start. The Gators move up four more places to check in at No. 7 this week, seemingly rounding into form in time to defend their NCAA title. Purdue, Gonzaga and Nebraska round out the top 10.

A pair of SEC contenders, No. 18 Alabama and No. 22 Tennessee, rejoin the poll this week. Clemson and Wisconsin drop out.

Inter Milan Vs Bodo/Glimt – Dutch Superstar Makes Matchday Squad After A 3-Month Absence

Inter Milan Vs Bodo/Glimt – Dutch Superstar Makes Matchday Squad After A 3-Month Absence

Denzel Dumfries is reportedly available for Tuesday night’s clash between Inter Milan and Bodo/Glimt.

According to Sport Mediaset, Cristian Chivu has included the Dutch wingback in the squad for tomorrow’s game at San Siro.

It’s been over three months since Denzel Dumfries last featured for Inter, with the 29-year-old sidelined by a serious ankle injury sustained in early November.

Furthermore, he underwent surgery at the start of December.

Though Dumfries was initially expected to return in March, the Dutchman’s recovery has progressed better than expected.

Indeed, he will return to action ahead of schedule, with Cristian Chivu including him in his squad for tomorrow night’s fixture.

Despite Dumfries’ return, Luis Henrique is more likely to start on the right wing.

With the former PSV Eindhoven star lacking match fitness and competitive form, the Brazilian should get the nod.

However, Inter must overturn a two-goal deficit to avoid missing the Champions League Round of 16 for the first time since 2020/21.

Therefore, it’s reasonable to expect Dumfries to come off the bench at some point.

Leny Yoro banned from driving for the next six months

Leny Yoro banned from driving for the next six months

Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has been handed a six-month driving ban after being caught travelling at almost two-and-a-half times the speed limit in a residential area, according to The Independent.

The 20-year-old was clocked driving his Porsche Cayenne GTS at 72mph in a 30mph zone in the Manchester suburb of Withington shortly after 4 pm on August 28, 2025.

He was charged by Greater Manchester Police with both the speeding offence and failing to identify the driver of the vehicle following the incident.

During the legal proceedings, Yoro’s representative, Lisa Nevitt of Burton Copeland, issued a formal apology on behalf of the centre-back.

The defence explained that the high speed was due to Yoro “rushing to take a friend to the railway station.”

His lawyer further noted that Yoro believed the road’s broad nature at that point meant there was little risk of contact with vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians.

While Yoro was not at risk of a ban due to “totting up” penalty points from previous offences, the magistrate ruled that the extreme nature of the speed warranted a suspension.

Consequently, the court imposed a six-month ban and ordered the defender to pay a total of £1,052, comprising a £666 fine, £120 in costs, and a £266 victim surcharge.

Yoro’s legal team emphasised his accountability, stating he would not contest the ban given the circumstances.

Since his high-profile £52.2m move from Lille in the summer of 2024, the Frenchman has established himself as a key figure in United’s backline, making 24 appearances across all competitions this season.

While he will now need to arrange alternative transport for the next six months, this is not expected to affect his availability for the remainder of the 2025–26 campaign.

Eyeing a return to the Champions League, Yoro and United currently sit fourth in the Premier League, level on points with Chelsea and Liverpool, ahead of Monday’s clash with Everton.

Fantasy Basketball High Score Perfect Lineup for Week 17: Nikola Jokić turns in best performance since Christmas

Welcome back! It’s been a while since we last wrote on the top performers in High Score fantasy basketball. That’s because of the extended Week 17 spanning before and after the All-Star break. That gave some players the opportunity to play 5-6 games to try and reach an optimal score for your lineup.

Now, we head into the stretch run with only a few more matchups before the fantasy basketball playoffs begin (most commonly in Week 21 for Yahoo default leagues). Below we’re going over the perfect lineup for Week 17.

Week 17 High Score Perfect Lineup.

Taylor Wilhelm

More on the top performers

Cade Cunningham, guard: It still feels very odd that Cade isn’t getting more MVP hype this season. Sure, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has the Thunder atop the NBA standings again as we head into the final few months of the regular season. But Cunningham has the Pistons well ahead of the rest of the East, 5.5 games clear of the Boston Celtics in second place in the conference. It took a 42-point performance vs. the Knicks at The Garden to get Cade the recognition he deserves when it comes to MVP talk.

[It’s not too late to create or join a High Score league, a new way to play Fantasy Basketball on Yahoo with simple rosters and scoring]

Luka Dončić, guard: Luka has lost his MVP steam but still has a very good chance of winning the 2025-26 NBA scoring title, entering Week 18 averaging 32.8 points per game. Dončić scored 38 points with 6 rebounds and 11 assists in a three-point win over the Clippers this past weekend. He’s been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that held him out of three games prior to the break. Luckily, Dončić was able to get in a solid outing before the end of the elongated week.

Nikola Jokić, frontcourt: The Joker is back after looking not quite himself since returning from a knee injury at the end of January. The Nuggets big man gave us a stat line we grew accustomed to seeing earlier in the season, when he was by far the best fantasy asset. He scored 35 points with 20 boards, 12 assists and 5 stocks in a losing effort to a depleted Warriors team missing Stephen Curry. Joker hadn’t reached 90+ fantasy points in High Score since Christmas.

Victor Wembanyama, frontcourt: The Spurs have ripped off eight wins in a row as they close in on OKC at the top of the Western Conference. Wemby has been elevating his ceiling when he’s aggressive on offense. But we also see what the floor looks like; he’s had a few games under 40 fantasy points over the past month or so. Wemby put on a show during All-Star Weekend, and after, scored 28 points with 15 boards, 6 dimes and 5 stocks this past weekend in a win over the Kings.

Kawhi Leonard, frontcourt: It almost feels bad that this Kawhi season is going to be wasted on this Clipper steam. Los Angeles has no choice but to make the Play-In Tournament since OKC owns the team’s first-round pick, but it would be a long-shot for the Clips to make any noise in the postseason. So instead, we’ll just enjoy this renaissance season for Leonard, who is averaging just shy of 30 points per game in February. He’s slowly climbing the rankings in High Score and could be a league-winner down the stretch.

Paolo Banchero, utility: Banchero snuck his way onto this list with 26-14-8 with 4 blocks in a loss to the Suns. He’s been one of the more erratic assets in fantasy basketball this season given his struggles scoring the rock. Some nights you get Banchero who lands in the perfect lineup, though, it took two overtimes for the forward to get in past Tyrese Maxey’s score. The Magic have a brutal schedule this week with matchups vs. the Lakers, Rockets and Pistons.

Lindsey Vonn almost had her leg amputated after Olympic crash

An emotional Lindsey Vonn shared on Instagram on Monday that she could have lost her left leg following her crash in the Winter Olympics.

Vonn revealed that the trauma from the crash led to compartment syndrome in her leg. Compartment syndrome is a condition caused by the building of high pressure within enclosed muscle compartments, which can restrict blood flow and damage nerves and muscles.

The 41-year-old alpine skier expressed her appreciation for Dr. Tom Hackett.

“Dr. Tom Hackett saved my leg,” Vonn said. “He saved me.”

She also said that Dr.Hackett would not have been there to save her leg if she had not torn her ACL in the World Cup downhill race. Vonn also broke her ankle in the crash. She said she has transitioned from lying in a hospital bed, almost completely immobile, to moving to a hotel. The next steps in her rehab are going home and progressing from being in a wheelchair to using crutches.

Vonn continued to compete despite her ACL tear, completing multiple training runs just weeks after her injury. Despite Vonn’s resilience, she went down 13 seconds into her downhill run.

Despite the outcome, she still does not have any regrets. For her, the hard work was worth it. After retiring in 2019 after dealing with severe injuries, Vonn would make a comeback in Dec. 2024 after a successful knee replacement. Driven by watching the younger skiers compete in 2022, Vonn would begin her quest to compete in the Winter Olympics 16 years after Vonn won gold in the downhill and bronze in the super-G at the 2010.

“I’d rather go down swinging than not try at all,” Vonn said. “I think what I was able to achieve was more than anyone expected to begin with.”

Despite being sidelined, she was fully supportive of her teammates.

“It is not the way I wanted to end it but it has been inspiring to watch my teammates,” Vonn said.

Former USC WR Ja’Kobi Lane Calls Out 3-Star Recruit With Shocking Allegation

Former USC star wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane did not hold back when calling out a three-star recruit on social media on Monday. Lane accused three-star recruit Brawley Tuitupou of stealing his cleats and other Trojans’ gear from the USC locker room while on a visit with the program.

Lane posted a photo, which seemed to be originally taken by Tuitupou five weeks ago, of a collection of USC gear that was allegedly stolen from the locker room. The photo included eight pairs of receiver gloves, three pairs of cleats, four towels, a USC jacket and shorts.

“This kid stole my cleats and a bunch of stuff from the sc locker room. All yall kids out there just know this is simply unacceptable,” Lane wrote on social media.

— Ja’Kobi Lane (@cantGuardJak1) February 23, 2026

It is possible that USC gifted Tuitupou some gear during his visit. Some recruits even have full photoshoots in the program’s uniform. However, the amount of gear Tuitupou had collected along with Lane’s accusations make the Tuitupou seem more suspicious.

Who Is Tuitupou?

Tuitupou is a junior receiver and safety at Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah and stands at 6-foot-4 and 175 pounds. He has 25 scholarship offers, according to his 247Sports profile.

USC is not one of the 25 programs that have offered Tuitupou a scholarship. Lane’s recent accusations could influence whether the Trojans decide to extend an offer to Tuitupou.

Among the 25 teams that have offered Tuitupou a scholarship are College Football Playoff semifinalist Ole Miss and four Big Ten conference teams: Penn State, Maryland, Iowa and Purdue.

What’s Next For Lane?

Regardless of if Lane’s accusations impact USC’s recruiting of Tuitupou, the pair will not play together at USC.

Lane declared for the 2026 NFL Draft and will participate in the NFL Combine. While former USC wide receiver Makai Lemon is a clear first-round pick, Lane is projected to be drafted around the second or third round. His performance at the combine will influence which team decides to pick him up for next season.
