When is it? The transfer deadline for Premier League clubs and those in the EFL is Monday Feb. 1. The window is closing a day later than usual as Jan. 31 falls on a Sunday this year. What time does it close? The window will shut at 11pm GMT. Which clubs will be active? Newcastle United are one club that are looking to add to their squad before the window shuts, as they look to propel themselves away from a relegation battle. West Brom are another team that will aim to be busy. Sam Allardyce is especially keen to bring in a striker as he looks pull off the great escape. Other clubs to watch include Leicester, who although are not desperate to bring in new faces, could be tempted by the right deal. The same applies to West Ham, who are eager to keep their momentum going under David Moyes. Which players could be on the move? Hamza Choudhury While Newcastle may be losing their fight for Lingard, they are in a good position to make a move for Choudhury. The England Under-21 midfielder has not played for Brendan Rodgers since getting taken off before the hour mark against Crystal Palace last month. West Bromwich Albion also have an interest but Steve Bruce landing him looks more likely. One stumbling block is that Leicester would ideally want a sale rather than a loan.
