The old Sea Shanty Cafe closed in 2002 after 60 odd years of trading, and nothing seemed to be able to fill the hole that this loss left in Trearddur Bay. There was a desperate need to provide an amenity in the same place, but in a modern context and giving the Bay a proper sense of “place”.
