Consider actually seeing the forests around Kazakhstan’s capital of Alma-Ata, which means “father of the apple.” A large diversity of apples grow there, very few of which are sweet. Or viewing the Semper Augustus tulip, at one time one of the rarest and most expensive tulips in the world. It is white, streaked with red.
