After sweeping Penn at Blue Bell Park over the weekend, Texas A&M baseball is ranked in the USA TODAY Sports baseball coaches poll top 25.
The Aggies came in at No. 22 this week with a 7-0 record to begin the 2026 campaign, as they prepare to compete in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington this weekend. Texas A&M is slated to play Virginia Tech, Arizona State and UCLA, which ranks No. 2 in the coaches poll.
One of the massive bright spots for the Aggies in the series against the Quakers was the sharp outings from the bullpen. Texas A&M did not allow a single walk all weekend, while Aiden Sims’ career day sparked a 7-1 game-three victory in Bryan-College Station on Sunday. The extra-innings fiasco in Game 2 highlighted some weaknesses in the Aggies’ plate approach, but the pitching staff performed lights-out to keep their team at the plate.
Nico Partida sparked Texas A&M’s hitting frenzy on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, including his third home run of the season. An all-around clean performance allowed the Aggies to break out the brooms and keep momentum high entering the week.
