Could former Commanders' 3rd-round pick be heading to the Eagles?
The Washington Commanders might be seeing a lot of Benjamin St-Juste in the 2026 season.
A new story Sunday, on Section 215, which covers Philadelphia Sports News for all of the major sports teams in that area, says that “ex-Washington Commanders cornerback Benjamin St-Juste could be an intriguing option for Philadelphia.” The story, written by Jovan Alford, argued that the Eagles will need a corner in free agency or the draft. So, if they want a corner with starting NFL experience, it might be “time to cross enemy lines.”
St-Juste, you recall, was drafted by Washington 74th overall (3rd round) in the 2021 NFL Draft. With his length and speed St Juste was a promising prospect. In the 2023 season, which was a horrible one for the Commanders’ defense, St Juste was up and down. In press coverage, there were times he gave up big plays and was caught holding defenders as they beat him at the line of scrimmage. Yet, St-Juste also knocked down 17 passes and forced two fumbles in 2023. So the Dan Quinn staff could certainly help him increase his consistency, right?
But it didn’t happen in 2024 for St-Juste. He did have career highs, being involved in 71 tackles (56 solo, 15 assisted), but that wasn’t often a positive, and the holding penalties and being beaten on some big plays by the opposition led to the Quinn coaching staff letting St-Juste leave in free agency, leading to his signing with the Los Angeles Chargers.
With the Chargers in 2025, St-Juste was a starter only two games, yet appeared in 16 games, playing 37% of defensive and 72% of special teams snaps. St-Juste was not only known for his holding penalties and pass interference penalties, but also his missed tackles in key situations. For instance Alford reported that St-Juste had 19 missed tackles in his four seasons with the Commanders. Yet, didn’t record a single missed tackle last season with the Chargers.

Alford also reasons that with the starting personnel the Eagles already possess on their defense, “with his size and physicality on the outside, it would be an intriguing addition to the secondary.”
Yes, his price tag/value will be very low for free-agent corners, which makes him a corner of interest for several teams seeking a veteran corner with experience. Who knows, the Commanders might have to face off against St-Juste twice next season.

West Indies vs Zimbabwe: Sikandar Raza, the superstar in Mission Zim-possible
Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW!
The moment marked a contrast to Nov 2023 in Windhoek, Namibia, when a dejected Raza sat in the dressing room as Uganda celebrated a win over Zimbabwe during the African qualifiers.
It was Zimbabwe’s second loss in that competition, which eventually led to them missing out on the 2024 T20 World Cup berth.
Raza’s smile has widened with each win in this edition. At 39, he is the fittest player in the squad and has led from the front while captaining, batting and bowling. His 26-ball 45 gave Zimbabwe the push they needed as they beat hosts Sri Lanka in the last match to top their group. With the ball, he took the new ball so that he did not overexpose his pacers or other spinners in the Powerplay.
Raza said he did not want to speak about his journey and focused instead on what the team achieved and how they grew in confidence with each win.
“I think that’s what win does, it sort of lifts you, the confidence comes back and you start believing a lot more,” said Raza, who sat second in the ICC T20 allrounder’s list.
He added: “With every win it (confidence) has changed. In the first game I could see that there was confidence and belief but with every game that has got better. After the Ireland game when we qualified, I could see that the boys, as much as they were hungry, were relieved by the fact that we had qualified.”
Others in the Zimbabwe camp praised Raza, who made his debut for the national team more than a decade back. Former opener Dion Ebrahim called him a “global superstar” after Zimbabwe’s victory over Sri Lanka last week. “I think we’re in the presence of brilliance. He’s up there with the greats.” Raza has scored 2958 runs and has 103 wickets in 130 matches for Zimbabwe, with many performances coming in difficult situations. He also travelled across continents to play in franchise leagues, including the IPL, and said he wanted to pass on that knowledge to teammates who had limited franchise experience so they could tackle the shortest format more effectively, especially in major tournaments.
“Myself, Blessing (Muzarabani), Ryan (Burl), Richard (Ngarava) and all the other cricketers who have gone overseas for franchise cricket, we have always come back and spoken to the boys. We always try to share those experiences because if the boy hasn’t got an experience, the least we can do is share the knowledge that we have gained when we have travelled overseas. So, I’m sure it has helped some of the boys, if not all,” said Raza.
Zimbabwe played all their matches in Sri Lanka before travelling to India for their Super Eights fixtures, starting with Monday’s clash against West Indies. Not many of their players played in India, but Raza said the team could adapt quickly. “Regardless of how the result goes, I don’t think it will be because we couldn’t adjust to conditions. If a team or an individual hasn’t had that experience, rather than using that as an excuse.”

Inter Milan Healthy Lead At Serie A Summit Allows Cristian Chivu To Focus On Champions League Comeback
Inter Milan Healthy Lead At Serie A Summit Allows Cristian Chivu To Focus On Champions League Comeback
Inter Milan steered ten points clear of AC Milan at the top of the Serie A table after the latter’s 1-0 home loss to Parma yesterday.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Inter’s huge lead at the summit allows the Nerazzurri to focus on the UEFA Champions League.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Manuel Akanji were on the scoresheet as Inter squeezed past Lecce on Saturday.
Indeed, a late 2-0 win at Stadio Via del Mare marked Inter’s seventh consecutive league victory.
However, the runaway Serie A leaders are facing an early elimination from the Champions League.

Despite Inter’s formidable league form, they suffered a dismal 3-1 defeat at Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of their knockout playoff tie.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri must pull off a huge second-leg comeback when the two sides renew hostilities at San Siro tomorrow night.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu will be without talismanic captain Lautaro Martinez due to a calf injury.
Nevertheless, the Italian giants should take the field in a buoyant mood, having won seven of their last eight home outings in all competitions.

Real Madrid: the press is concerned about Kylian Mbappé
Two days after Real Madrid’s defeat against Osasuna (2-1), concerns are mounting over Kylian Mbappé.
Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappé disappointed on Saturday against Osasuna (2-1). This Monday, the Madrid press expressed worry about the French international’s form, as he has been hampered lately by knee pain. According to Marca, Kylian Mbappé delivered “one of his most subdued performances of the season.”
“His statistics aren’t alarming, although, given his usual goal average this season, it’s unusual that he hasn’t scored in two games. However, his performances are cause for concern, the report reads. AS wonders: “Where is Mbappé?” “The Frenchman, still physically hindered, delivered one of his worst matches of the season and has extended a brief goal drought,” the newspaper judged.
“He’s showing the first signs of weakness and, worse still, a certain physical fragility that could prove costly in the final stretch of the season,” added AS.
